Chelsey Carlson, Practice Manager, LVT
Chelsey graduated with Presidential honors from San Juan College and holds an associate degree in Applied Sciences in Veterinary Technology. She began in small animal practice in 2000 and began working with Dr. Curtsinger in 2002.
Chelsey has a special interest in emergency medicine and critical care. Chelsey, her husband Rick and her two daughters, Evie and Olivia, enjoy camping and spending time on the lake.
Dylan, Veterinary Assistant
Dylan is originally from Pineville, NC and grew up in Indian Land, SC. Growing up in animal hospitals like the rest of his brothers, he too gained an interest in the field and has been working in the hospital since his teenage years. He attended South Carolina University, and is attending The University of St. George Veterinary School. Dylan, his wife and his dalmatian, Drako, enjoy going for hikes in the mountains, fishing and spending time outdoors. In his free time, he also works as a fire fighter in Pleasant Valley, SC.
Denise, Veterinary Assistant
Denise is originally from Newport News, Virginia. After graduating from UNC-Wilmington, she began working at the first doggie daycare in Wilmington, NC. After moving to Fort Mill in 2006, Denise began working as a veterinary technician. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their two dogs.
Susan, Veterinary Assistant
Susan has lived in Charlotte all of her adult life. She has always had a passion for animals. She has a boxer named Sherman and her many cats (no one actually knows how many!). Susan is on the Board of Directors for a local animal rescue. Her passion is saving animals from the local shelters. Susan enjoys riding her bike with the Red Rocket Revolution gang, hiking or having a glass of wine with her friends.
Alexis, Veterinary Nurse Assistant
Alexis has lived in Fort Mill her entire life. She attended York Technical College where she achieved an Associate’s in Applied Science Criminal Justice Technology. During college she worked at a pet boarding facility when she realized she loved working with animals. She loves doing fun activities with her nieces and nephews, going on family vacations, and going on road trips. In her free time, she loves to read, and spend time with her two dogs Cletus and Daisy.
Kirby, Veterinary Nurse Assistant
Kirby grew up on the eastern shore of Maryland. She graduated from Delaware Valley University with two degrees. One in Equine Science and Management as well as Business Administration. She moved to the Carolinas in 2016, and loved it so much she stayed! She enjoys reading, traveling, and trying new food. She loves spending time on her farm with her husband, David and her dogs; Hendrix, Luna and Tibor, her cat Pearl and her horse, Balissa.
Loren, Receptionist
Loren was born in Alabama, but grew up in Ramseur, NC. She attended college at UNCG where she graduated with a finance degree in 2008. Loren has been in retail management since 2009, but has always had a passion for animals and joined the veterinary profession in 2021. She loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her husband Johnnie and her two dogs Bubba and Bella.
Jacky, Veterinary Nurse Assistant
Jacky is originally from south Florida and moved to Indian Land, SC 10 years ago. She has an associates in science from the University of South Carolina and is currently continuing her education at Penn Foster to obtain a degree as a veterinary technician. In her free time Jacky likes to go on adventures with her dog Blu, hang out with friends and family, and go to the lake.
Hannah, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hannah was born in Florida and grew up in Fort Mill, SC. She attended Tri-County Technical School and recently graduated with a degree in animal science to become a licensed veterinary technician. She has been a member of our team since interning as a high school student years ago and now works as a licensed veterinary technician. Hannah and her husband enjoy being on the water and hiking. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her three dogs and two cats.
Skylar, Veterinary Assistant
Skyler is originally from Hilton Head, South Carolina and recently moved to Indian Land. She has had a love for animals all her life starting with horses and volunteering at shelters in high school. She joined the veterinary field in 2022 while living in Hilton Head. In her free time she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and going on adventures with her Springer Spaniel Sig.
Holden, Veterinary Assistant
Holden was born and raised in Waxhaw, NC. With a passion for animals at a young age, she obtained her veterinary assistant certification in high school. After working in the equine veterinary field for five years she decided to take a break to continue her education in Wyoming. Upon moving back home, getting married, and having her son, Holden followed her heart to continue working with animals, and joined our team. On her days off, you can find Holden down at the barn with her two horses, Lookie and Lola, or spending time with her family.
Danielle, Veterinary Assistant
Danielle is a homegrown of Lancaster, South Carolina. She graduated from USCL with an Associates in Science in 2020. She has always had a passion for animals and has always had aspired to work in the veterinary field. She a passion for continuing her education in the veterinary field. Danielle enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and loves to travel.
